Patient Services & Admissions

For the comfort of our patients, their families, and companions, we have a dedicated Patient Services & Admissions Department. This team is your point of contact for any paperwork or arrangements. That includes hospital procedures as well as matters involving insurance companies, travel and assistance providers, immigration, and logistics.

Our commitment is to make your stay comfortable and to provide personalized care at every step.

International patients and their families are assisted by bilingual (English-Spanish) patient advocates. If you need an interpreter for another language, our team can arrange one for you.

Some of the services we offer include:

  • Physician referrals and appointment scheduling
  • Coordination of emergency and elective medical care
  • Cost estimates for your care
  • Insurance assistance
  • Language interpretation
  • Hotel and flight reservations
  • Liaison with local authorities and consulates
  • Arrangement of religious services
  • Repatriation of remains (available at Costamed Hospital Cozumel only)

Next comes the administrative discharge. If there is no outstanding balance, this can be immediate. If there is a balance due, we'll let you know the amount, and several payment options are available.

Please keep in mind:

  • You may receive separate invoices for physician fees.
  • For births, you will receive your baby's legal documentation.
